I love my new spiralizer. I am encouraged that it came in a plain box. I am not sold on the glitz, but the usefulness of the product. The straighter the zucchini, carrot, cucumber or sweet potato the better the device works, but I was never a fan of zucchini before. My husband the meat eater extraordinaire loves the spaghetti made from zucchini. My grandchildren like to help with prep and this was easy enough for the 5 year old to use. When they help spiralize(new verb) the veggies they are more likely to eat them. I did have to dedicate a special toothbrush for cleaning though. It is easy to clean, but the blades are so sharp it is also easy to nick or slice your fingers. Once I started cleaning with a soapy toothbrush I don't get cut anymore. Sweet potato lasagna was popular. Prociutto and herbs with the bigger flatter spirals like fettucini make a great quick meal. We go through 8-10 zucchini a week that weren't previously in our diet. Even the 17 year old will eat it!!! The suction cups stick to the counter or wood table making it portable.
